***Update***
New version v4 - added vent holes to allow debris to escape.
I have used the previous version for 2 years and over time, debris was getting compacted inside causing the tool to bind.
V4 has been modified to prevent this compaction and allow the debris to fall out.
Improved tip for the DeWalt 22" 20v hedge trimmer. Model DCHT820.
Great trimmer, 1 complaint. There's about 1.5" of F.U. at the tip of this trimmer that gets caught up on things you're trying to trim. This part solves that problem.
I only printed and used the triangular one but included the rounded one as well. Either one will do the job.
Make sure to insert the metal ferrule into the new part before putting it together. (there is a hole in the part for the ferrule, just use a flat screwdriver to press it in)
You'll need a new screw, M5 -.8 x 25. The original is only 20mm long and doesn't give you quite enough thread to reliably re-use with the new tip.
Everything is a very tight fit.
