I printed the one from which this remix was inspired (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:41090), but it did not fit my printer. I really liked the idea though, so I made one for my printer (prusa i3). This one can use 2 different sizes of "pins" from the dial indicator (9.5mm and 8mm).
I used it of course to level the print bed, but also to bring both sides of the Z axis to exactly the same distance to the Y axis rods. This makes for smoother operation of Z axis and more reliable prints.
I tried using it to dial the Y axis exactly square to the X axis, but it is pointless. My printer has an acrylic frame, and i can flex the Y axis rods by just pushing a bit on them. Dialing this perfect would be ruined right after you move the printer just a notch, or bump it just a little tiny bit. But, this bracket could be used to do that should you want to try.
It snaps in place, and there is a little tab on the nose that makes it easy to remove it.
