Dial Indicator Jig - FlashForge Creator Pro and Makerbot Rep2

I wanted an indicator jig that would use magnets and hold the Harbor Freight Dial Indicator.

This holds the indicator far enough above the table so that the spring in the indicator is not interfering with your reading.

the magnets are true value -10 Piece Neodymium Super Magnets

best to slide two in while the part is still hot, the third can be inserted after cool down by opening the hole slightly with a flat screwdriver. use a quarter or butt of a wrench to achieve a press fit.

make sure to clean up any burrs inside the area that comes in contact with the rails.

this should slide freely while being held downward by the magnets.
the box for the dial indicator can be modded so that this fits too.
