I purchased a Kinex 1155-3 0,001mm "Messuhr"/ dial indicator to measure the backlash on a BZT cnc machine. Knowing the backlash allows for software compensation when milling. This is a prerequisite for milling round circles and threadmilling. The part allows for mounting the Kinex dial to 43mm "Eurohals" mounts commonly found on many cnc machines in europe. While the dial fits snuggly, it can optionally be secured using M3 screws.
Be warned - this isn't a novice print.
The following Cura slicer settings worked for printing on a printrbot simple metal with a .4 mm nozzle (using PrimaValue PLA):
print speed 45 mm/s (it will take about 41 hours to print!)
print temp. 210°
heated bed temp: 65°
support type "Everywhere"
platform adhesion type: Raft
layer height .1mm
shell thickness 1.6mm
top and bottom height 1.6mm
infill 25%
(0.45 mm retraction for Ubis All Metal hotend !)
