After trying out several print-in-place fabrics, I decided to create my own! This diamond-patterned, 3D-printed chainmail fabric is both flexible and sturdy. Start with the 35mm test swatch to make sure everything is set up correctly, but the larger 120mm and 250mm versions are where the real fun is! These models keep the highest quality details, so they might take a bit longer to slice—around 10-15 minutes for the 250mm version—but it's definitely worth the wait. They are also pretty darn sturdy! Once printed, let the fabric cool on the plate. I printed all of mine from a textured plate and they came off really easily, but if you need help, a plastic scraper can do the trick—just make sure to let it cool down first.
