Diamond Ring

Jewelry design caught my eye, and I thought to give it a shot. This is a very basic design of a diamond ring. I just wanted to play with the renders here and somehow I am still not convinced. I would appreciate some pointers on rendering jewelry especially diamonds. And this is also my first model in Maya, thanks to my brother who taught me maya within two days.
