Diamond Stack for LGB 2018 Mogul

These are replacement smokestacks for the LGB 2018 2-6-0 Mogul. LGB never made a diamond stack for these engines, so I designed one. There are versions with and without rivets. The attached photo shows the version with rivets.

To improve the structural strength of the stack, I recommend inserting an M4 or similar screw (at least 30mm long) up from the bottom. It will not accommodate a smoke unit, nor would you want it to, as the heat could warp it.

Depending on your printer and slicer settings, the stack may be a tight friction fit, or it may be somewhat loose. In the latter case, use a small drop of glue to hold it in place. If you are FDM printing it, I recommend printing it with the thinnest layers your printer can handle, to make the surface as smooth as possible. The photo shows it printed in PLA at 0.1mm layer height.

The shape of the stack is loosely based on the Cass Scenic Railroad's Shay locomotives.
