Digital Caliper capacitor battery

So a few people have mentioned that these cheaper calipers loose battery pretty fast. They don't turn completely off (Just the screen). Any substantial bump (like opening your drawer too hard) turns it back on. So what is a geek to do:

But I don't have a super cap. (Well still in the mail).
So here is a design to add either an external battery with a real off switch or in my case: a capacitor that I can recharge from the original LR44.
You are going to need a 2 position single pole switch, some thin wire, a capacitor (>2200uf), and a JT plug set. When I printed this the holes closed a bit, but a 0.5mm drill bit did the trick.
I used a 2200uf capacitor which gives me a little over 1.5mins run time. Charged with a quick(-ish) tap of the external battery while switch is in charge mode.
