Digital Distance Counter with AS5600 Magnetic Encoder and OLED Display  Project Description This project is a high-precision digital distance counter based on an AS5600 magnetic angle sensor and an SSD1306 OLED display. It is designed to measure the distance traveled by a wheel with a known diameter, converting its rotation into meters, centimeters, millimeters, or inches, feet, and thousandths of an inch (mil).  Main Components AS5600 Magnetic Encoder (12-bit) – detects the rotation angle of the wheel with high accuracy OLED SSD1306 128x64 Display – shows the measured distance in real time Arduino (Uno, Nano, etc.) – the main controller for the system Wheel with a circumference of 15 cm – attached to the shaft for motion tracking Two buttons: Reset – resets the distance counter Mode switch – toggles between metric and imperial unit modes  Key Features  Accurate distance measurement based on the number of ticks read from the encoder  Supports reverse direction: distance increases only when the wheel rotates counterclockwise  Dual display modes: Metric system: meters, centimeters, millimeters Imperial system: inches, feet + inches, and mil  Mode switch button to toggle unit systems  Reset button to zero the measured distance  High resolution using 12-bit precision from the AS5600 (4096 steps per revolution)  Continuous real-time distance calculation  Clear and structured display: large text for main units, smaller text for subunits  Possible Applications Measuring distances on surfaces (fabric, floors, terrain) Mobile robotics Handheld measuring tools Industrial process length tracking Material and assembly. The Arduino code has been uploaded to the Documentation section. Electrical connections.
