I would like to introduce Incremental forming. This is one of old numerical control machining method. Recently, desktop fabrication machine can be seen in large fabrication research in the world. But most of their research is conducted with 6-axis robotic arm. Not only It's cost high.
By using this, A thermoplastic sheet is deformed by 3D data. I introduce architectural application Japanese traditional work shouji by specific paper.

Structure
Heated pin make dent in PVC sheet layer by layer, Finally we can get 3D model.Tool path is designed by grasshopper.
This project shows possibility of specific expression as like hammered pattern by low-cost CNC machine. I hope it would be a good teaching material for beginner of fabrication machine.
