I like building my own tools for the shop. Found a design on You tube for a DIY jointer from a electric hand Planer. Needed to design a cover and guard. Did not have the red plastic for the guard but it does its job. There is a spring attached to the guard shaft. Attached the SKP files if anyone needs to make changes to fit their DIY jointer.
