A simple, functional spectroscope designed in OpenSCAD for educational use. It uses a CD or DVD as a diffraction grating and a small LED flashlight as the light source. The 3D-printed holder keeps the CD at the correct angle and provides a slot for observing light spectra from various sources — perfect for classroom demonstrations or science workshops. The model is easy to print (tree supports work the best) and assembles in seconds. Just insert a CD/DVD, point a light source through the slot, and observe the spectrum through the opening. If you like modular functional and STEM projects, follow for upcoming models.
