DJI Phantom 3 Pro - Night Navigation Strobe Lights

Housings for Strobon Cree LED strobe lights plus dual purpose DJI Phantom 3 Pro gimbal guard and Strobe light mountings.

To be fully compliant with the UK CAA and US FAA when operating a UAV (Drone) at night you are required to be visible to other airspace users from a minimum distance of 3 miles. This is achieved by fitting different coloured strobe lights to the UAV.

Strobon Cree LED's are readily available online however the only supplied method of fixing to the UAV is via double sided adhesive velcro strips. I have therefore designed a housing which not only protects the Strobon Cree LED but makes switching them on and off much easier. The housings are then mounted to a specially designed mount which is fixed to the Phantom 3 Pro's landing gear and also acts as a camera gimble guard.
