Disclaimer: I have not tried the increased tolerance version of the catch and the latch, but I am fairly confident they will work.
My printers are all very well calibrated so you may need to print the version with increased tolerance if yours isn't.
I prefer a nice tight fit, so I like to keep the tolerances as small as possible. I just think it looks nice and everything works smoothly.
Instructions:
parts:
- latch * 1
- catch * 2
- box * 1
- lid * 1
- Mechanical pencil springs (or any other 4 x 4 x 13 mm spring) * 2
- Super glue (For this project I recommend the super glue gel so it's not runny) You can get it at the dollar tree.=, just a little
- Machine oil (optional), just a little
- piece of foam (this can be gotten at the dollar tree) * 1
Everything can be printed in the orientation the file is in and no supports are needed.
Assembly:
Drop the two springs into their sockets on either side of the hole for the latch, place them in vertically.
Try to put the latch into the hole s
