I abandoned this project. but i will leave it here in case anyone gets inspired. I switched to a linear rail design also found in my things.
Has not been fully test printed yet -----------------
Today I printed the hotend holder section. Used supports in the section where the fan duct goes underneath. tomorrow ill try to print more.
Remix of the x carriage with built in probe function so that it can be used with the standard HEVO E3d V6 hot end clamp.
remix from here https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2626615/#files
11.11.17 whipped up a carriage that might work.
Its a bit taller than the stock carriage but the height from the bottom of the carriage to the mounting location for the hot end should be the same. I am hoping since its taller than there will not be as much tilt issues and still light enough to not cause ringing. Its for sure lighter than a carriage carrying an extruder. comments are welcome. This has not been test printed yet.
