This is a door handle which I designed to use as a replacement for a damaged one. This design doesn't have a metal coil in it to keep the lever upright, instead it relies on the spring inside the latch. Therefore it is important to make the mating faces smooth and have little friction so that it the latch-spring can bring back up the lever.

The model was designed so that the lever doesn't come out of the attachment plate by having a tight fit. This means that the lever needs to be sanded and then forced through the attachment/face plate hole. In addition, a small hole was included so that a small metal pin could be inserted to add peace of mind that the handle won't come off.

The model can be modified to allow for a coil spring to be included by making holes in the correct part of the lever and attachment plate.
