Door Lever Lockout

I have Weiser levers on all the doors inside my house. With two young grandkids, there was a need to prevent little hands from opening doors and going into rooms so I came up with this design. It is so easy and efficient, just slide it on and over the lever and you're done. If you are only needing to lock the door from the inside, the attachment is not required, just slide it on. If you are wanting to lock the door from the outside then attach the c-shaped-piece with a 6/32 screw .75", on just one side. There are holes set for both a right or left sided handle. I'm sure this design would work on other handles, the key to it working is the square base…enjoy!
