Door Opening Assist

Install approximately centered on the door and at a height the wheelchair bound person can easily grasp, also make sure it is close enough that they can grab the handle easily. This enables the person to close doors with ease. No more pinched fingers trying to close the door using the jam.

I used a 1 1/2 inch #8 machine screw and nylon lock nut for the pivot. It's up to you, whatever fits will work just fine.

I secured the base to the door with 3M command strips, that way it's easy to remove and relocate if needed.
