One of my bathrooms has a cool feature where if you let the entry door swing all the way open, it activates the push to lock automatically, an unpleasant delay for the next person trying to use that room to say the least..
I wanted to stop the door from opening all the way, but with some cushion. I had some spare 15mm diameter insulation (bought at Home Depot) from another project (see picture) so I designed this in three pieces.
Assemble all pieces including foam before attaching..
1) Main block, can use command strips or hot glue on both sides
2) Piston, Install small end into the largest end of the main block, it has a built in stop to prevent it from falling out. Insert a cut piece of foam a bit longer than the hole
3) Cap, after installing foam, push cap on to lock foam in place
Stick or glue down and you're done. I printed mine on high speed, took about an hour. Works great, it does make a interesting little zippy sound, perhaps you might sand the piston, but
