My take on the hexagonal NASA fabric. I modeled the unit in OpenSCAD and exported as STL. Using the Anycubic slicer, I imported the unit and added color. Then the unit was duplicated and laid out into the fabric formation on the slicer.
The build shown here was printed on Anycubic Kobra 3, using regular PLA.
I have included the STL for a single unit, as well as the STL for the 5-unit hexagon formation.
If you want to use the single unit to create your own formation, a horizontal separation of 12mm from center to center of 2 adjacent units works well, and the print should be flexible once it is removed from the print bed.
Have fun!
