The tensegrity structure is not the only type of geometric figure in which different rigid parts do not touch each other and are connected only by a thread.
If you connect two tripods as in the proposed thing, you can get the basis for the table. The upper tripod is connected to the lower one only by a chain. But unlike tensegrity, the tripod folds easily.

In addition to the printed parts, the tripods use steel tubes with a diameter of 4mm, a 3mm ball chain and accessories for its fastening. The chain can be replaced with a strong, non-stretch thread or fishing line.
The length of the pieces of chains will depend on the lengths of the tubes you choose for the upper and lower tripod and on their angles of inclination.
