This can calibrate printers in the X-Y plane, as well as debugging over/under extrusion.
Print this part, and use calipers to measure the OUTSIDE dimension and INSIDE dimension.
The outside dimension should be 150mm, and the inside dimension should be 130mm.
Adjust the steps on your printer to account for any inconsistencies. Below are the actual steps with examples:
1) Print part
2) Measure and record outer dimension (see picture)
3) Do the following equation:
- OuterMultiplier = 150/outerDimension
- Write down the value you calculated for OuterMultiplier
- This tells us how much we need to scale our "Steps Per MM". A value of 1.00 means no change.
- A value greater than 1 means we need to INCREASE our steps per mm, which means that the overall part will GROW if we print it again.
- A value less than 1 means that we need to DECREASE our steps per mm, which means that the overall part will SHRINK if we print it again.
4) Measure th
