This is a chess board that I created to allow single colour printers to be able to print a two colour chess board. to print the board you must print:
18 - Middle Pieces in one colour (white)
18 - Middle Pieces in the other colour (black)
6 - Edge Piece 1s in one colour (white)
6 - Edge Piece 1s in the other colour (black)
6 - Edge Piece 2s in one colour (white)
6 - Edge Piece 2s in the other colour (black)
2 - Corner Pieces in one colour (white)
2 - Corner Pieces in the other colour (black)
I made the tolerances for the pieces quite tight so that when the board is assembled it has no gaps between the pieces and doesn't need glue to hold itself together. This means that to assemble the pieces a hammer must be used. I gently hit the pieces with a hammer until they slid together and this created a strong structure that doesn't fall apart and all the pieces sit flush to one another.
