A design mindset allows us to tinker with ideas and designs. In the case of the dovetailed box (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4429575), one could ask, “Is it possible to **dissect a cube into two congruent pieces**?” Indeed, it is not only possible but also adds **more challenges** to the puzzle.
The present design is a **dovetailed dissection of a 50mm^3 cube**, with an optional locking feature. One needs **two copies of the same piece** for a cube. Two pins (diameter < 8mm) can be used to lock the two pieces. Because of its structure, it is pretty challenging to unlock the box. One needs to carefully move the two pins into their holes for unlock the box. Please be patient while trying to imagine the positions of the pins.
