Posted in honour of the new season of the FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC), where high school students worldwide build robots to play competitive games. A new game is released every year and students have designed robots of every conceivable shape and size and mechanism to play them. But perhaps the most beloved robot of all was a little blue robot named Dozer that showed up in the animated game reveals. A creation of Dave Lavery, Dozer had a plow as his only mechanism, he tried his best, but he always got himself into trouble. Now you can make your own Dozer. The wheels spin, and his plow face moves up and down so Dozer can push game pieces around, emote, or just look forlorn. A few versions of Dozer have appeared as 3D printable projects over the years, but my remix improves on them:I adjusted the chassis axle holes, added a peg-and-socket system for the eyes, modified the linkage shape and added a mounting point on the plow, so that all pieces snap together for easy assembly.
