Bringing the heat with my new dragon model, I'm so excited with how the fiery breath turned out. What do you think? I wanted to create a flying dragon and make it feel epic by adding a light effect. I sketched many designs on my iPad before deciding to use the dragon’s flame as the light source. At first, I tried an LED tea candle, but it wasn’t bright enough, so I upgraded to an LED lamp kit from Maker’s Supply. Check out my Other dragons: I measured it, designed a slot for it, and went through a few trial-and-error prints (I reprinted the fire three times!) before I was happy with the final model. To make the flame look realistic, I designed some areas thicker and others thinner so the LED light would shine through with variation, just like real fire.I also added lots of small details to the dragon itself to make it m
