This project is a lesson in Mendelian genetics for an 8th grade class. Original concept by Dr. Pamela Esprivalo Harrell in the January 1997 issue of Science Scope. The original activity used pieces of paper to make a dragon.
Part one of the activity Dragon Genetics is focused on Mendelian genetics - genotypes, phenotypes, dominant and recessive alleles.

Part two of the activity Dragon Breeding included drawing Punnet squares.
The activity also introduces incomplete dominance in the form of the dragon body color. You can easily adapt the activity to use just 2 body colors, or eliminate that as a trait altogether and print all the models in the same color.
Dragon models inspired by http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5236, and created with help from the art teacher (I can't draw). In this activity the model is copied, mirrored, and flipped to make the reverse side. The
