First off thanks to Pampasnet & Bozzman for the dragon and flame rendering.
I really liked his light, but I wanted to have something better than a static light. To solve this I bought one of the LED flame lights from Amazon:

I chose this one for its size and that it would alter the flame direction based on orientation.
To take the flame light apart, I used a hacksaw and carefully cut around the base of the translucent plastic. You may be able to get the glue to let go and pull the light apart, I was able to do this after cutting the plastic.
Once you get to the internal components. remove the small screws (Save them for later) and remove the circuit board. Next, remove the battery. The battery is glued in, so it took a bit of wiggling and pulling to free it.
