Draw-bench workshop tool

A bespoke project that I've been working on; my aim was to design a draw-bench which can be used to taper nickel silver tubes from uniform cross-sectional tubes. The final -tapered tube- product will be used to manufacture French Horns. When the lead screw is driven, the rotation translates into linear motion through the flanged nut and compresses a metallic lead die (doughnut shaped object) over the outside of nickel silver tube. Inside the tube there is a tapered mandrel, which acts as a mould to which the inside of the tube will form around. The concept of this machine is my own idea. The motor is the only part that will be outsourced; a 0.5HP DC electric gear-motor from Bodine Electrics.
