Brass inserts greatly extend the life of any print over using self-tapping screws, especially if the parts are to be dis-assembled.
But it's a pain to install them accurately. Nothing worse than relying on the soldering iron to hold them in alignment by hand.
There are several good designs available to fix this, but I'm lazy, so modified the holder on a Dremel Model 220 Drill Press to hold the soldering iron square.
A bonus of this technique is the ability to incline the iron at 15 degree increments, and still insert square to the surface.
You might need to check the shape of your soldering iron handle and its fit in the Clamp.
Clamp2 has relief for hexagonal head soldering irons.
