https://youtu.be/Ix5F3YQOyLg
Assembly requirements:
Print
- 1x Propeller of your choice
- 1x Handle
- 1x Bearing Support
- 2x Bearing Spacer
- 2x Bearing Cap
Buy:
- 1x M10 Threaded Rod (I use 1000mm)
- 7x M10 Nuts
- 2x 26x10x8 Bearings
Printed out of ASA using a Flashforge Creator 3 V2 with the following settings:
- Layer height: 0.2mm
- Infill: 25% Gyroid/3D
- 5 Outer Layers
- 5 Top/Bottom Layers
- 100mm/s
- No supports (depending on your printer, you may prefer to support the propeller blades)
- No bed adhesion
- Propeller requires pause at 29 or 19mm (aggressive or mild, layer 145 or 94 at 0.2mm) in order to insert the nut.
- I print the propeller in one, and the handle assembly in another. But it's up to you!
The handle assembly acts as a frame to hold the bearings, bearing caps and spacers. The propeller has an embedded nut. Everything is tightened, and then locknuts placed across the primary nuts.
