Drill Press Lever Extension

This part was made for a standard benchtop Ryobi Drill Press. This may work for other models and brands depending on how similar they are.

I wanted to make a wider surface for my drill press. The problem is that with the extra overhang you can no longer operate the elevation adjustment handle. This design provides and extension for the existing handle. I printed this part out of ABS because my drill press is located in my shop which sees huge temperature swings but PLA will be fine also.

The Drill Press Lever Extension printed perfectly for me so that it had a tight fit on the lug so there was no need for me to add a set screw to this part. This also makes it easier to remove as i just have to pull it off. The screw recesses designed into the Drill Press Extension Guide were sized on standard sheet rock screws since this is what i had laying around at the time.
