You can still get great results swapping this for any dull colour, such as PolyLite beige, cream, light yellow, light green, or even a basic or bone white. I quite like the look of the original colours used, but my model has bone white and it worked out very well. Scaling X and Y axis is fine, but do not scale the Z axis.
