DUNE Bookmark (Original Design)

About this modelThis model was made by me from scratch, using traced illustrations from the book covers of each original DUNE books (1-6). The cover of each was stylized into a circular vector, stacked vertically from the first book to the last.Feel free to scale to any size you prefer. I have included three sizes in the sliced model, of which I would recommend the medium size. How I made thisI started by tracing each book cover (DUNE 1-6) in adobe illustrator with the pen tool. Next I exported these as SVG's into Blender and extruded + combined bodies. It was fairly tedious to deal with the model, ensuring it was manifold and merging the 6 designs into one.After many attempts and nearly giving up on it, I finally got it to work by using the "remesh" modifier in blender and eventually getting a model which printed properly.
