I needed to connect my 40mm dust collection system to a china-made dust cyclone.
The adapter fits snuggly into the slightly tapered stream inlet and holds either a 40mm pipe or hose firmly in place.
On the picture the adapter is not fully pushed in to make it more visible.
A little nose on top prevents the pipe/hose from being pushed through.
