We have a Dyson V6 cordless vacuum cleaner. Great little unit and came with multiple accessories and a neat wall hanger/charger. One thing though was you often want to take a tool like the crevice tool with you on your forade around the house. We were using a velcro strap to hold a tool on the main tube, but it was a bit awkward. So my lovely wife asked me if I could design and print an accessory holder. So here it is.
This is the seocond (V2) prototype design and print for this item.I ended up cracking after a dozen cycles attaching the accessory tool. It was a little tight on both the tube and accessory - I increased the diameter a mm or so and also close the arc angle maybe 5 degrees. I increased the thickness of the tool section to 4mm (from 3) and seems about the right level compromise between flexibility and strength .(I used my Wanhao rebadged Aldi Cocoon 3D with 1.75mm PLA printed at 0.1mm resolution).
I used Freecad to model the item. The main body is a simple extruded
