Given that the Dyson Zone headphones can be found at massive discounts from RRP now (e.g. JB HI-FI in Australia has had them for sale for $99 before → https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/927287 ), modding them to remove the fans and reduce their weight makes sense. Their weight can be reduced by >20% (~ 130 grams), resulting in a reduction from 595 grams to ~465grams (making them much more usable).They sound incredible, and have great transparency mode + acceptable noise cancelling. Came across this backplate cover on printables from another maker, which can be used to cover the gaps left when the fans are removed to reduce the overall weight of the headphones.
