This two-piece surface mount is designed to house a standard E26 ceramic socket (Amazon link below). After mounting the fixture bracket, the socket assembly can be slid into and out of place as needed.
The bottom of the socket assembly is left open to allow for wiring. Advise shrink tubing to avoid unanticipated contact with electrical components.
Use to position accent lighting in difficult-to-reach spaces like behind furniture or under tables. The socket assembly's standoff gives sufficient distance for most E26 smart bulbs. In the photos, the bulb featured is a LIFX Color Mini.
