I combined a 30mm fan duct with a filament cooler duct.
I am taking about one third of the air from the heat sink and diverting it to the filament on the bed. I wanted to minimize the weight on my effector and I wanted to cool the heat sink and the printed material with one fan.
I got tired of this thing breaking when I snap it on and off so I added a rib on the sides for some extra strength.
There is a tiny 5mm brim - trim away post print.
And the screw holes for the fan should be drilled out a little.
No supports
No rafts
No fat chicks
I would print this in ABS due to the temperature it will be exposed to
(hence the 5mm brim)
And I made a stand alone diverter. You can sandwich this thing between a 30mm fan and an E3D V6 heat sink shroud. You will need some long skinny screws though.
BUYER BEWARE!
I just found out that taking 1/3 of the air from the heat sink is a bad idea. It doesn't cool quite enough, and I end up with clogs. I am working on a 3 fan model again.
