After cracking the top off the lens protectors from many hard crashes I have re-printed the design in Nylon! (previously PETG) it seems basically indestructible now! I recommend everyone get a roll of nylon filament (I used Esun ePA) if they can, printing with the same settings as PETG = 250C hotend, 80C bed, 80mm/s. I have also updated a slightly modified copy of the source files, some optimizations to base height and wire hole position are included. I have also modified my E011 with an additional battery connector soldered on the top back so it can use either type.
The lens protectors do not obstruct the camera field of view, but provide some nice crash protection.
I had one of my lenses break off the PCB on these cameras before adding the lens guards. When the camera costs as much as the whole copter I think .3 gram extra for the lens guards is worth it ;) (mount was .7g before adding guards). They are easy to comment out in OpenSCAD if you would like to
