Problem: The Guardian needs to be mounted very firmly to the airframe. Generally, that means gluing it in. (One can also use velcro, but that can shift some in flight, or double-sided foam tape, but that can come loose during aggressive maneuvers in flight.) If the Guardian is glued in, then after the plane has reached it's end of life (generally as a result of an unscheduled early "landing") one has to remove the guardian to re-use it in the next plane. When it comes loose, it has bits attached to it from glue - foam or wood. Getting those off without damaging the guardian's thin plastic case is a pain.
Solution: There are two parts. One part (guardian tray - the one with the hole in it) has the Guardian glued to it. The other part (tray base) gets glued to the plane. The base plate is single use. Affix the Guardian tray to the base plate, and go fly. In the event of a crash, remove the mounted Guardian from the plane and print out a new tray base for the next plane.
