1.1 Description of Design Design was focused on simplicity; one single bracket was used in four separate locations to be mounting to the plate via thumb screws or bolts. Each bracket is intended to be connected to the seat track via a common seat track stud fastener assembly. Using 4 independent and equivalently sized connection brackets simplifies manufacturing reducing part complexity & cost. This system also allows for simple flat packaging of the parts in the envelope required. 2.1 Materials and part details Material selection is 6160-T6 Aluminum, parts intended to be water-jet or laser cut from 1” thick plate with holes drilled and tapped where applicable for mounting to the seat track and the mounting plate. See drawing detail for more information and for reference 3. Assembly • Fasten each independent member to the seat track studs loosely. Using seat track stud mount (McMaster # 39695T370) • Rotate each member until the tapped hole in the member matches the hole in the EAS mounting plate. • Once aligned fasten together with 3/8-16 UNC threaded thumb screw or bolt. • Repeat for each member until completed.
