Similar to Pixelle's Easy Smartphone Gopro Mount (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2368959), but modified to be used on a standard camera tripod.
For this project you will need a 1/4 inch nut and glue.
Basically I removed the bottom part where the coupling with the shoe of the gopro accessories is made from the original design and added one more piece with a hole to fit the 1/4 inch nut. This piece has two small guide pins (perhaps too small) for placement. But it is absolutely necessary to use some glue.
