This is a heavy-duty, safety enabled EDF test stand for fans up to 120mm and 12kg thrust.
The fan pushes downwards and therefore holds itself in place in the adapter.
It is easy to remove and re-insert during balancing, e.g. after replacing the impeller.

Use a standard kitchen scale with high precision.

Use front wheel hub from an old bike as low-friction balance point.

The balance board is cut from 18mm plywood. Find the actual dimensions in the balanceboard scad or stl file.

Use your standard fitness weight discs to balance out the thrust.
Start loading some 4kg on from start of the test and maybe add some extra kg during the test if needed. I am sure you can do the math afterwards ;-)

Use a light-weight plastic board for the protective screen. This material can be collected in the streets for free after election day :-)
Tape together two layers for stability and robustness.
