3/4" MDF Edge Hole Placement Guide
This is a quick and dirty edge drilling guide for ¾” MDF. It guides a drill bit to the center position on the edge of a ¾” MDF panel. It can be slid anywhere along the side. However, since the hole is centered on the guide, it can also be used to place holes 3” from each end of a panel by lining up the edges of the guide with the edges of the MDF panel. It can also be used to locate a hole in the end-to-end center of the panel if you mark the center first and then place the hole in the guide over the center line.
It is made to create a 5/32” pilot hole, which is for a 2-½” construction screw which is what I use a lot of for shop projects. If you need a bigger pilot hole, you can just drill it out with a larger drill bit.
