Wheel adapter to use your EGO String Trimmer as a sidewalk edger.
Fits my EGO string trimmer with the aluminum shaft (mine is Model ST-1510T but might fit others).
This is a remix of another one here that didn't fit my string trimmer. That one required a spare scooter wheel to be used, as well as didn't fit my trimmer, so I made this one instead. It uses two common 608 bearings and the wheel is printed of TPU.
Instructions:
- PETG recommended, except for wheel which is TPU
- Recommend higher number of outer shells and higher infill for strength.
- For the TPU I believe I used around 6 inner/outer shells and 40% gyroid infill
- No supports needed
- Print @2 inner spacers and @2 outer spacers. See cross-section image for where spacers go (bearings not pictured)
Will need:
- 2@ M4 x 25mm bolts, plus washers and nuts
- 3@ M4 x 50mm bolts, plus washers and nuts (no washers in top side of hole)
- 1@ M8 x 80mm bolt for the bearings/wheel, plus washers and nut
I recommend blue loc-tit
