This intake strainer is designed to protect shrimp, fry and small fish from being sucked into the filter while maintaining excellent water flow.

The model fits directly onto the pipe of the EHEIM InstallationSET 1 (16/22 mm hose system) and creates a large intake surface that minimizes flow resistance.

The design uses multiple vertical slots distributed around the circumference to maximize open intake area while keeping the openings narrow enough to protect small animals.
