This is a major design change from the original idea of the original Eibos filament dehydrator deflector design. Through physical testing, I created a much smaller design than the original that did not restrict the heat and flow, or potentially cause a hazardous condition.
Reduction of the thermostat does not reduce the voltage to the heating element, therefor the heat coming off is the same high temperature not matter the thermostat setting. This can and will damage filament spools which cannot handle the heat.
In my opinion, the original deflector created far too much fan/heating element restriction. This will likely lead to damage of the Eibos dehydrator and/or fire. My attempt at a solution to this is to create a heat deflector with less airflow restriction while still providing a barrier to spread out the heat from the heating element.
I do not recommend printing this in anything other than Polycarbonate or Nylon. Printing this in ABS/ASA is a fire hazard.
