Einiosaurus procurvicornis is a medium-sized ceratopsian (horned) dinosaur from the Cretaceous period around 75 million years ago. It predates its better-known cousin, Triceratops, by nearly 8 million years. Fossils have been found in the Two Medicine Formation of Montana, where it roamed a semi-arid, seasonal environment, possibly lived in herds, and may have eaten tough plants like cycads.
Einiosaurus is distinguished by its drooping, "can-opener" horn. It would have defended itself against Daspletosaurus, an early relative of T. rex that appears to have been a specialized ceratopsian hunter.
This was modeled in Blender and detailed in Mudbox. Its polycount has been reduced for printing.
