I am pleased to share my ergonomic solution for the Shining3D EinStar scanner to you all. As always, I started with the project by making 2D sketches first. I then 3D printed the scanner model where I custom made a clay model. After various ergonomics and "grip" tests, I marked some parts, I didn't waste much time in modeling the clay to perfection since I only needed it as an initial reference. Once the shape was defined, I captured the real model with my trusty Shining3D EinscanH 3D scanner. I then brought the meshes back to SolidEdge to proceed with the reverse engineering of the reference surfaces. From here I started to define the first lasts focusing on the most ergonomic last adhering to the scanned model. So I printed the first solution but honestly it didn't fully satisfy me. I'm referring to the design, so as a second elaboration of the CAD I tried to give a more coherent line to the EinStar. I studied various designs and referred to the initial 2D sketches that inspired me. So I redefined the handle of the scanner considering the EinStar guidelines adding the writings and imagining a future technological upgrade such as the insertion of a powerbank and a wireless module that plugs into the existing socket of the EinStar. I finally printed the final solution. I tried it and honestly I'm satisfied with the result. I made the side walls by offsetting the original surfaces of the scanner by 6mm but in the first versions I saw that even 2mm is enough and maybe even manage to make the project leaner and more adherent to the scanner. Of course I leave you all the last considerations on the project and I look forward to all the constructive criticisms that you can offer to improve the project. I love this job and I expect your feedback and if it is positive I would like you to share my project, so I leave here the references to my social profiles where you can find other images and videos. https://youtu.be/CsII6MSfLb4 https://www.instagram.com/blacklakelab/ https
